"Smitty"
of Endicott

Richard Smith (Smitty), 60, passed away at Lourdes Hospital on Weds., April 12, after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard Sr. and Jane (Taylor) Smith, and his son, Colin. He is survived by his two sisters and brother-in-law, BJ and Bill Ellis, Vestal, Gail Smith, Endicott; nephews, Shane and Scott Stevens; great-nephews and niece, Austin and Zoe Stevens and Jared Stevens. Also aunts, uncles and many cousins. Smitty was a 1965 graduate of Vestal High School, where he was an accomplished wrestler. He was also a graduate of BCC. He was a well-known bartender in the area, having worked at The Red Lion for several years.

There will be no calling hours, but a small memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Smitty's name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Lourdes Hospital for their compassionate care. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott.
