I
remember Jane Oats, Rebekah Stewart, Carol Gent and of course Elaine Foster.
They were my lunch buddies. As I remember I was a bit shy in high school
and
felt invisible most of the time.

thought mystery picture #2 (Ann Scott (Kuehl)) was Elaine. They do look a
lot alike!
I remember her as being very religious and having a good sense of
humour. Always considered her a friend.
If I'm not mistaken we may have also had classes in junior high
together as well.

We
met Elaine and hubby Wally in July on our way to a family reunion. It was
great reacquainting again. We didn't know each other well in HS
but that
didn't
seem to make any difference. After a bountiful Chinese buffet , we retired
for coffee & more
conversation on their place just outside of Clovis NM. Wally is
very handy, managing the guest facilities at nearby Cannon AFB, and has
built a beautiful
little
fountain in the front lawn.
One special memory that Elaine has is the
rendezvous with Bob Barnard under the stairwell in the Old School,
to, ahh… exchange history notes. You had
to
watch that quiet little Elaine, yes you did, back then!
Elaine has had some medical problems in the past, but seems to be
mending well. They have a beautiful baby granddaughter, Athenia, a little
over a year
old,
who is the light of their lives!

I
still have nothing definite from the doctor but I have been feeling a little
better(either that or I have just learned to live with the pain)(and I am
not talking
about
my husband either). LOL

Elaine
and Wally live in Clovis NM. Wally (Richard) is retired from the AF. They
were stationed at Canon AFB and returned to Clovis to retire. He had
been
to Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. Ran a Youth Camp in Penn for 2 years
after retirement in 1978
but moved to Clovis in 1980. Taught at a private school in Clovis
and then went into nursing a few years ago. A son, 26, works construction
and not
married.
A daughter, 24 married to an airman on base. They have a granddaughter born
in May 1999.
Elaine went to college in NY and married at end of junior year.
Finished schooling in Alaska. Mother and sister still in NY
Mrs. Kavanagh retired from teaching and worked for the Red Cross.
Had Miss Jones for English and Mr. Gearhart for History.

May
have MS or Lupus. Bones in bad condition. Was told 7 years ago that she had
but 2 years to walk. Auto accident in 70s may have contributed. Had
recent
surgery on her left hand and slowly getting use of the hand back.
Has had a computer since January. Uses ICQ. Daughter trying to set
her up on Excite and Yahoo for voice chat.
Met husband through former brother in law, who were buddies in
Germany. Knew each other for 8 years before he popped the question. Been
married 31
years.
Elaine tended to be on the quiet side, had a small circle of
friends, didn't go to dances much. (Much the same as Rich McLean!)
